"Where's this week's update?!1/?" You all probably shouted when you visited our website last week and saw no update! I can assure you that it was a planned move and not due to the fact that I "HAD SO MUCH HOMEWARK!"
The reason why I did not post last week was because I was locked in a heated negotiation with Joel about extending the date of the Pre-Registration. It was a tough battle of calling Joel and suggesting it! He then said yes and three days later I'm posting it!
Due to popular demand, Pre-Registration has been extended until Friday, October 10th! And that's super cool!! Because now you can force your friends into registering!! =D It's gonna be FUNFUNFUN!!! I'm so looking forward to meeting more Minnesota Anime fans! Not to mention the ones that come from Wisconson and Nebraska (true story!).
Now go Pre-Register for the Halloween Masquerade and if you have any questions call Emily at 651-338-0384!

Hey everybody! Today is the picnic! And it's a gorgeous day! I'm so looking forward to seeing all of the new faces this year brings! For info about the picnic, read the News feed from September 12th!
This week, I added a
FaceBook Event for the Halloween Masquerade 2008. You should definately RSVP if you use FaceBook! Also, as I said last Monday, you can now Pre-Register for the Halloween Masquerade 2008 on the Eagle Anime Online Store, because the date for Pre-Registration has been extended until September 30th, 2008. Hurry, because there are only 500 spots left! And that's just the online registration option! You can purchase your Pre-Registration by visiting our online store - click here!
People keep asking me, "How can I help?" And the answer is easy: Tell everybody you know about it and encourage them to Pre-Register so they are more likely to come! If you get creative with your persuasion techniques, take pictures and send them to emilykringle@gmail.com or post them on FaceBook.

My God, another month went by without me updating sooner! This is crazy! I'll try to update more frequently as much as I can. I'll now update you on what happened in August! Kakkoi|con was hugely awesome! You know that though, because you were there right? Wait.. you weren't?! WHY NOT?! ToT Oh.. you went to Iowa instead.. Well, good thing I'm letting you know now, about a year in advance, that Kakkoi|con 2009 is scheduled for July 31st-August 2nd 2009 so it's plenty of notice for you to save your money! Registration up January 1st. One of the things I'd like to setup would be a little convention money saving program where you can sign up way in advance to be part of our Room for Kakkoi|con 2009 and you can pay me little by little in advance - five dollars here, ten there... anyways, I'm getting ranty.
So after Kakkoi|con, I spent the week getting prepared for San Japan in San Antonio, TX. Charlie and Maggie were my Convention Team. Much to their unfortunate luck, I had been under the impression since I found out about San Japan, that the attendence was expected to be 12,000 people... but as Jenni and I packed the van on Tuesday night she made a size comparison between San Japan and Kakkoi|con. At that point I realized Joel was saying 1,200 when he spoke about it before saying "twelve hundred" but in my head I must have added a zero.
San Antonio was a new experience. We met Stephen Walker of Kawaii Films and he interviewed us for a documentary he's making - I hope I make the final cut~! zOMG there was a Sanrio store inside the Riverwalk Mall!
After San Japan, we headed north again for Anime Iowa, dropping a surprise off in Wichita for Ally when she got to Anime Fest Wichita later that week. Anime Iowa seemed considerably smaller this time. Or maybe I'm just getting considerably bigger! Either way, I met up with a guy who has the Rozen Maiden Souseiseki Super Dollfie and I got to see Souseiseki in the flesh (resin)! Also, I saw an Edward Cullen cosplayer lol!
I spent the next week getting ready for school, which started the week after I got back. Man, my Ethics class has like 7 books!
The Halloween Masquerade 2008 is totally awesome! I hope to see you there! More details soon! Save the date though and get it off for work, you definately won't regret it! It will be Saturday, October 25th! Take the day off work!

Emily Kringle here, posting my first update on the site. You may be asking yourself "Why?" And the answer is, my friend, because I've been working very hard with planning for our first ever contest room party!
The folks over at Kakkoi|con have been giving it their all and I know for a fact that I'm going to enjoy it! And I think you would too! Don't forget to check out your Kakkoi|con program guide for a surprise. I found out at the last Kakkoi|con meeting that I am going to be the MC for cosplay. I hope so, because I'm really looking forward to it!
Our room party will promote our Halloween Masquerade 2008. The room party will be Friday and Saturday night in Room 210. I hope to see you there!
